由苑の近くに小さな洋食屋さんがある。その名も『あきら』。

ココのハンバーグが、いっとう好き。
具がいっぱい詰まってて肉肉しくなくて。でもボリューミーで。
注文してから丸めて作るので、その分ジューシーで。
お昼時、いつも常連さんでいっぱい。
男性陣にはジャンボチキンカツも人気のご様子。

しばらくの間、休業していた。マスター、体調悪かったのかな。
今週、再開してて少しほっ。今日、久しぶりに食べに行こう。

There's a small restaurant near U-en, named "AKIRA".

I love the hamburger in a gravy sauce here.
Many kinds of ingredients are inside, so hearty.
The chef cooks it after order, so juicy.

At lunch time, it's filled by many people.
Japanese big fried chicken is also popular for men.

Although I worried they'd been closed for a while,
they reopen from this week.

Why don't you go and have a lunch here?!

お母さんに連れられて。一人のオージーガールがやってきた。
なんたって、ぴっちぴちの13歳。　きゃ、きゃわいい。。

宿に帰って来ては、BARで日本語を勉強してる。
皆がわらわらと集まって、彼女に日本語を教え出す。
あーでもない、こーでもない、と。

最近来てくれる外国人は、みんな日本語が達者だ。
あたし達が使っている言葉を、するするとなんなく呑みこんでゆく。すごいスピード。

旅をしている国の言葉を覚えるのは、簡単なことじゃない。
英語が通じてしまえば、覚える必要がないことが大半だからだ。
でも、そうだとしても。あえて、その土地の言葉を話す。
その土地のイントネーションを話す。

彼らは、きっとそうすることで全身で日本を感じようとしてくれているんだろなぁ。

帰り際に、彼女がちゃめっけたっぷりに言った。　“あたし書いたの見てくれた？！”
うんうん、ちょんと見たよ。すごいね。上手だよ。
そう言うと、彼女はめっちゃ嬉しそうに笑って、また来るねって。

日本のこと、こんなに覚えてくれてありがとう。


An Australian girl's come with her mother.
She's 13years old, so cute!

After coming back from outside, she starts studying Japanese.
Everyone gathers around her, teach Japanese each in their own way.

Guests who come here, can speak Japanese well.
They learn many words we use speedy.

It's not easy to remember the language in a country we travel to.
Usually, no necessary to do it if we can communicate in English.
But, travellers try to speak the local language, or dialect.

In doing so, they could feel Japan with all their senses.

When leaving here, the girl told me, "Did you see the board I wrote?!"
Yeah, yeah, I knew. It's perfect!
She smiled happily and said "see you again!".

Thank you for your memorizing many things about Japan.

今日はランチタイムに由苑の近くにあるお蕎麦屋さんに行ったど〜！
雰囲気のある店内、そして繊細なお蕎麦・・・めっちゃいいかんじ☆

玉造には本格的なお店がいっぱいあるんだな〜。
最近由苑のスタッフとしてこの街をもっと知りたい！！！って思ってきたのです！
チャリんこでうろうろしてるとおもしろそうなお店がいっぱい♪

ゲストの方やこのブログを見て下さる方にこの街のおもしろさが伝われば最高っす！！！

I went to Soba restaurant ,which is near our guest house,
for lunch today !
The atmosphere of this restaurant is very nice
and the taste of Soba was fantastic!!!!
(By the way, Soba is made of buckwheat.)

In Tamatukuri area, there are many interesting restaurants and stores.
I hope i can introduce them for our guests and for people
who are reading this .
I will explore this area more to be a well-informed U-en's staff!

由苑の入ってる地域交流スペース『結』からの発信。
『玉造街歩きMAP』を作ろうと奮闘しています。

このMAPを持って、たくさんの人が玉造を歩いてもらえたら。
今まで知られていなかった場所やお店を知ってもらえたら。
そして、少しでも玉造を好きになってもらえたら。

住んでるくせに知らないことがいっぱい。
『玉造』という地名の由来なんて。歴史名所なんて。

自分が居る場所のこと、もっといっぱい知らなくちゃ。
そして、それを知ってもらえるように。
たくさんの人が通い合う、活気ある街になったら。

それが、ココに居させてもらっている少しの恩返しになるように。

With this map, if more people could walk around Tamatsukuri.
If more poeple could know about nice places and shops in Tamatsukuri.
If more people could like Tamatsukuri.

We've found many new things in spite of living here.
Where did the name "Tamatsukuri" come from?
Where are historic spots?

We should know more about the place we are.
If we can change our city to be up-and-coming,
this is in return for all it has done for us.
